Mazda is once again partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Red Cross, and the American Heart Association for the 2015 “Mazda Drive for Good” nonprofit event. Designed to raise money during the Holiday Season, Mazda Drive for Good donates $150 for every new car bought or leased to one of these national nonprofits.

According to Mazda, the event will also seek to promote at least one hour of charitable service from every Mazda employee during the holidays. In addition to the three main organizations listed, Mazda will also give donations to a range of 46 local nonprofits around the country.

“Mazda Drive for Good isn’t about selling cars. It is about giving back and building awareness,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, MNAO. “Many people may think that we are building awareness for Mazda, but part of our goal is to build awareness for our nonprofit partners, that helps them long term, not just during the Mazda Drive for Good event.”

From the end of November to the beginning of January is one of the most popular times to buy a Mazda, one of the reasons the brand is set on donating at this time. Since 1992, Mazda has donated over $8 million to worthwhile organizations, and by the end of the holiday season, it hopes to increase that number significantly.
