What’s better than one person winning a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata? How about two people winning a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata? That’s precisely what happened during the Mazda MX-5 Challenge at E3 this year.

According to a press release from Mazda, both the first- and second-place winners of the Mazda MX-5 Challenge won a new Miata.

The challenge, which began in March of 2015, gave gamers a chance to win the all-new roadster from Mazda. After they downloaded the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata for the Forza Horizon 2 video game, players could compete with one another for the fastest time.

The two fastest racers, David Goss of Missouri and Colton Miller of Indiana, were flown to the E3 conference for a winner-takes-all tournament with a 2016 Miata as the grand prize. Goss beat Miller at the conference and won the 2016 Mazda Miata. However, Mazda surprised Miller with a brand new Miata of his own.

“We’d like to say congratulations to David and Colton as we know they spent many hours behind the ‘virtual wheel’ leading up to E3 in anticipation of the big race,” said Eric Watson, director of marketing for Mazda of North America, in the release. “They both spent so much time preparing for this event that we didn’t want one of them going home empty handed.”

Now that’s a victory lap you can feel good about! Keep on the lookout for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata and grab one for yourself!
